Elkathurthi or Elkathurthy is a village and a mandal in Karimnagar district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]

It is located 17 km away from Hanamkonda (Warangal District) towards Karimanagr. Agriculture is main occupation in this village. People here cultivate Paddy, Chillies, Cotton, Corn, Peanut, Vegetables mainly because of the nature of land, water resources. Sericulture is also adopted by few farmers. Regional Sericulture development office is Located in this Village. Main water source for this village is deep wells, a lake and Kakatiya canal which passes behind the village.
The village which the center point between three districts i.e.,karimnagar,warangal,medhak.

More freedom fighters are in this village and "Mr. Janagam Nagaiah" is well known freedom fighter against British India.
